The following 2010 information is offered as a guideline.
All dancers participating in the 2010 National Finals are equally eligible to compete for the following ONSTAGE NEW YORK National Titles:

Mr. & Miss Junior
Mr. & Miss Teen
Mr. & Miss Senior |

The National Title Competition will be separate from Finals Solo Competition.
Title Entries may also be competed as part of the Finals Solo Competition.
Separate entry registration required.
All solos competing for Title Awards must be prequalified- either from
a Regional Competition or the Preliminary Qualifying Round.
Each Title soloist may enter only ONE solo for National Title consideration.
Regional Title winners do not have to perform their winning Regional solo.
All title dancers will also be evaluated in at least 2 mandatory classes-
choice of ballet, jazz, and tap. Dancers may participate in all three
classes- the top 2 scores will be counted. Class evaluations will consist
of 35% of the overall composite title score.
Special Scholarship recognitions will be awarded to the top dancer in
each of the 3 Title Classes. The award will consist to a NYC Dance Alliance
Regional Convention Scholarship.
The Title Fee is $125 per dancer (which includes the solo fee and the
mandatory adjudication classes).
All title entrants will be required to step center stage, introduce themselves,
hometown, age, and dance performance piece (prior to performance). Title
entries will also participate in a brief onstage interview with the judges.
Title entries will receive a separate 'Title Presentation/Interview'
score in addition to their adjudication score.

The top 3 finalists (male and female) in each age division will perform
their solos at the Closing Night Gala- competing for National Titles.
The Gala Solo Score will REPLACE the previous solo score within each composite score to determine the title winners.
In addition to the above, ONSTAGE NY National Title Winners will each
receive:
$500 cash award
and a special plaque
A year long NYC
Dance Alliance Regional Workshop Scholarship.
2010 ONSTAGE NY National Title Winners may not compete for a 2010 NYCDA National title

SPECIAL AWARDS
CLASS ACT AWARD: The judges will recognize one studio who consistently
present their dancers in a 'classy', professional, and age-appropriate
manner.
ENTERTAINMENT AWARD: The judges will recognize one entry they
feel demonstrates outstanding entertainment qualities.
VOCALIST AWARD: The judges will recognize a performer who has
demonstrated exemplary singing talents in their performance.
TRIPLE THREAT AWARD: The judges will recognize a performer who
has demonstrated exemplary acting, singing, and dancing talents in their
performance. (MORE THAN ONE Triple Threat Award may be given on a regional
weekend - at the discretion of the judges.)
Many other Judges Standout Awards may be presented each weekend at the discretion of the judges
